Millennium celebrations underway

The Millennium Planning group were very pleased to see the first events take place and to be enjoyed by so many people.

The Hardwick Bash took place on the all weather pitch, the weather was fine until after midnight and it was very enjoyable to be able to let in the New Year, New Century, New Millennium with so many friends and family.

The Fireworks Display was spectacular and will be remembered for a long time. Many came and enjoyed the fireworks. The weather was kind to us again, we could not have asked for better. Neither of these events would have been possible without help from so many people. Particular thanks must go the Neil Blair and Allison Marcus for the New Year's Eve Bash and David Horton for the fireworks.

There were many people involved setting up and preparing for the bash, shopping, setting up fireworks and clearing away both events. There are too many people to list here but I would like to thank them all for their contribution.

We now look forward to planning the next events. If anyone feels they would like to be involved in the planning any of the millennium events or are willing to help at any of the events please contact Jane Muncey.

The next Millennium Planning meeting will be in the Community Room at 8pm on Monday 31 January. h3. Community Association Meeting The next Community Association meeting will be on Monday June 5, 8.00 p.m. in the Community Room at Hardwick School. Anyone who lives in Hardwick is welcome to attend.
