Millennium celebrations nearly complete

The millennium planning group has continued to make progress with the celebrations for the Millennium. The aim is to have a variety of events for every one in the village to join in. A charge is being made for some events, not to try to raise money, but to cover the costs. A grant application has been submitted to cover the costs of the millennium footpath, and we are waiting to hear if the application has been successful.
The Hardwick Bash will be on New Year's eve on the all weather playing area, refreshments will be provided, please, do not wear high heeled shoes as these will damage the playing surface. Come and meet friends and family and let the New Millennium in.
The Fireworks Display will be on January 1st in the school grounds. Tickets for both these events are available now. If you do not wish to buy tickets in advance you will be able to pay on the door.
More people are needed to plan the Carnival - Parade and the Hardwick Happening on July 1st, or to help on the day. If you feel able to help please contact Jane Muncey Tel. 210570 or Jane Humphries Tel. 211822.
h3. Community Association meeting
The next Community Association meeting will be on Monday November 15, 8.00 p.m. in the Community Room at Hardwick School. Anyone who lives in Hardwick is welcome to attend.
