Allotments nearing realityWednesday, 25 April 2007 After over a year in the making, Howard Baker and the Hardwick Allotments Association are close to taking possession of a site behind the terraced houses between the Blue Lion and the church. The land had been unofficially used for allotments in the past and belongs to Chivers Farms. Howard met with Caroline Chivers and she agreed to rent the site. The Allotments Association held its first meeting in November and now have 26 members.
