The first edition (November 1975)This was the first issue of the Hardwick Happenings magazine, which appeared in November 1975. It was started at the suggestion of the Rector, Rev. David Pine, and was initially edited by Mrs Annette Bond. It ran to 6 pages and the print run was 250. The village was a lot smaller then but was about to expand. The main concerns were to provide a new school, a new village hall (the old school was serving in that role temporarily) and an adventure playground, for the children and young families which were starting to move into the village with the construction of the Limes Estate.
