Where are meetings held?

The Hardwick Parish Council meetings are held in the Community Room at The School, on the 4th Tuesday of every month, except December when the meeting is on the third Tuesday. The meetings commence at 7.45pm and doors open from 7.35pm.

Format of a council meeting

  1. Apologies for absence
  2. Minutes of previous meeting agreed
  3. Open session (for members of the public to speak, if any)
  4. Matters arising from previous minutes (for information only)
  5. Other matters
  6. Correspondence
  7. Correspondence table review
  8. Planning
  9. Accounts presented for approval
  10. Income
  11. Any other business
  1. Date and time of next meeting agreed

Informal session at the beginning of each meeting

At the meeting of 26th November 2002, it was agreed to have a slot at the beginning of each meeting that is open for issues to be raised from anyone present. This would be of a duration allowed by the Chairman, but no longer than 15 minutes so as to get the formal business of the meeting underway by 8.00pm
