In Cllr Storr’s absence Cllr Chamberlain chaired the meeting. The Chairman proposed a minutes silence in respect for the previous Clerk. On a proposition by the Chairman it was agreed to take item 2 first
2. To approve apologies for absence and declarations of interest. Satisfactory apologies were received from: Jim Stewart, Ian Storr and Richard Grenfell (all out of parish).
Annual and procedural Business
1.1 To elect a Chairman and to receive the declaration of acceptance of office
On a proposition by Cllr Lewis- Smith, seconded by Cllr Freeman it was unanimously agreed to elect Cllr Ian Storr as Chairman. It was agreed that Cllr Storr’s declaration of acceptance of office as Chairman should be signed and returned by the start of the next meeting.
On a proposition by the Chairman carried unopposed the meeting was adjourned to 22 May.
The remainder of the items on the agenda are to be carried forward to that meeting.
Closure of meeting
There was no further business and the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 7.50 pm
