Three Fifteen Club

Last updated: Wednesday, 08 November 2006, 07:36 AM

The 3.15 Club was first established in Hardwick in 1992 to provide after school care for children between the ages of 4 ½ and 11 years. We are open Monday to Friday and have places for up to 24 children daily. At Hardwick 3.15 Club the children are cared for in a secure but relaxed environment. They are given free choice and plenty of encouragement, enabling them to both relax and develop their social skills.

Hardwick 3.15 Club is situated in the Community Room in Hardwick School, Limes Road, Hardwick. Hardwick is a village on the outskirts of Cambridge and is within easy reach of both the A14 and the M11. A large colourful room along with caring and dedicated staff provide endless opportunities to learn and play in a homely environment. A safe and enclosed outside play area and park also allow for fresh air and plenty of physical exercise.

The Hardwick 3.15 Club is a registered Charity and a member of the National organization Kids Club Network. The Club is currently working towards its Quality Assurance qualification.

Discipline

We will give all children a copy of our behaviour policy. We expect children to behave so as not to cause distress to other children at the Club and in a safe and responsible manner, thus ensuring their safety at all times.

If a child is misbehaving at the Club, explanations are always given so that the child has a better understanding of where he or she went wrong. Persistent bad behaviour will result in a consultation with parents to decide on an appropriate plan of action (this is extremely rare).

Staff

The 3.15 Club employs a Playleader and one or two Play Assistants per session depending on the number of children present. All staff are checked by and registered with Social Services. Our staff attend regular training courses in all aspects of childcare and playwork to ensure that children are being cared for to the highest possible standards. Each member of our staff is able to provide all the care and attention your child needs at the end of a busy day at school.

Snacks

We provide a small snack as soon as the children arrive after school. This can vary from fresh juice, breadsticks and fruit to squash and biscuits. On very cold days when the children have been playing outside we will provide hot chocolate.

The children are welcome to bring any of their own food with them to the Club and special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Hours

The 3.15 Club is open from 3.15pm to 5.45pm term time only.

Fees

The fees for half and full sessions and for one or more children are reviewed every year. For current fees contact the Chairman or the Playleader.

Equal Opportunities and Special Needs

The 3.15 Club welcomes all children and their families regardless of their race, religion, culture or disabilities. The children at the Club will be surrounded by an environment free from prejudice and without discrimination. Each child will be valued as an individual.

Vouchers

The 3.15 Club are able to accept Childcare Vouchers.
